ADESA expands its collaboration with Vodárek

Oct 11, 2016

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Vodárek Transport s.r.o., one of the leading Czech transport companies, expands its collaboration with the online car auction website OPENLANE. Through this collaboration both partners are confident to increase their activities in both the Czech and Slovak Republic.

Vodarek Transport s.r.o. is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It has grown into a strong and stable company and is considered as a reliable partner to its customers and business partners. Vodarek’s services are being used by many supra-national companies such as Skoda, the VW-Seat-Audi group, Toyota and Hyundai. The company’s motto ‘Every car counts’ shows that every car matters and is important to them. “If a company wants to succeed these days, it needs to quickly adapt to the market situation. Throughout those 20 years, we have faced many challenges and had to adapt to the demand. Our motto, therefore, perfectly captures the essence of our company, which is the individual approach to each customer”, says the CEO of the company, Mr. Radim Vodarek.

Two years ago, it was the ability to adapt that brought Vodarek and OPENLANE together. The online car auction website offers a broad range of leasing vehicles, commercial vehicles and stock cars offered for sale by Western-European leasing companies, fleet owners and car rental companies. The selection includes passenger cars, vans and light trucks, damaged cars and wrecks of all makes and models. Since 2014, Vodarek is organizing transport for OPENLANE’s Czech and Slovak customers - at a fixed rate and at attractive lead times. At this moment Vodarek covers almost 40% of all transports that are requested by OPENLANE for Slovakia. For the Czech market this number is near to 20%.

Today, additional transport services are being offered. Car traders who buy a vehicle at the OPENLANE auction can not only have it delivered at the compound of Vodarek, their vehicle is also being inspected upon arrival at the compound. “On top of this, we grand a payment delay. If our customers order transport to the Czech or Slovak Republic, they only need to pay for the vehicle just before it arrives at the compound. This way, they can keep the money longer in their pockets or use it on other interesting car deals.” says Jan Van Orshoven, COO of OPENLANE and initiator of the cooperation between both companies. “We are also thinking about the possibility to offer local, ‘compound-to-doorstep’ transport at interesting conditions”, Mr. Vodarek concludes.

Both Vodarek and OPENLANE consider these additional transport services as an opportunity to increase sales and transport volumes, which will positively affect transport prices and lead times.
A clear win-win situation thus, not only for both partners but also for their customers.
